What Can I Say?

Well, what can I say? Is exorcism real? Is it a mental disorder? Is it something that religious and spiritual groups have imagined into existence? The answer is that we just don't know! To some exorcism remains a taboo, a bit of a joke, but to others the idea of demons possessing our own bodies remains a chilling and worrying question. If demons did exist then questions of god's character can be put to trial. If not then the threat of developing one of the mental illness is quite a disturbing prospect. One has to wonder which is worse; demons? or a disease that could render you helpless. Films about Exorcism certainly do not help our fear factor in anyway but for all you horror fans out there it is only one more piece of entertainment.

Now, To Get Exorcised...

Just as a pre requisite to my exorcism I decided it was appropriate to check that i was actually in need of one and where better to do this than online. I chose the Are You Possessed Quiz to decide this for me. The results I got were perfect: 60% I am an Evil Overlord. Fantastic!

Putting myself in the position of Emily Rose, Regan (from the exorcist) or indeed anyone that is said to suffer from demonic possession I decided next to go online to try and find religious advice or chat, which may benefit my ‘condition.’ My conclusion was that these sites are not easy to come by and where they do exist, not much activity is to be found. There is a mass of information for me concerning the history of exorcism but not many which allow me to specifically speak to someone on an individual basis or ask advice from. Having said this, i slipped into a discussion forum on http://www.absoluteastronomy.com/ , under the name of EmilyRose2, which should of allowed me to join their Exorcism forum where i would be able to read others stories and gain a further insite into my problem. However, I found that I would be kicking off the discussion as it seemed no one else had anything to discuss. Having failed with numerous attempts in google to find 'exorcism forum, discussion exorcism, possessed help?' I decided to look down the supernatural and unexplained route. Here i found significantly more information especially from Discussion Forum-Mysteries Forum-World Religions and Spirituality. This forum although not specifically designed for exorcism held a few good discussions including the Exorcist priest warns against "hidden knowledge" but still no specific help. Lets hope that my demon was a relaxed one!
After a considerable amount of time I discovered, what I can only describe as a rather peculiar site, under the name of the exorcist Wanda Pratnicka. Here I found letters from fans, client statements and even letters from ghosts. I leave you with an extract, make of it what you will...
